Your own tarot deck, made in ChatGPT
Make each of the 22 Major Arcana with ChatGPT's image generation, restaged from the 1909 Smith–Waite designs, with you, your partner or your friends as the figures. Tarokin frames and numbers every card, draws a card for you each day, and prints the finished deck.
How it works
Start your deck
Say “Make me a tarot deck” in ChatGPT. All 22 cards start as gold emblems, so the deck is whole from the start.
Make the cards you want
ChatGPT draws each card from the 1909 composition and the look you ask for, every figure fully clothed. Tarokin adds the frame, the numeral and the name.
Draw, then print
Draw a card each day from your own deck, face down until you turn it over. When you're ready, order the deck printed and shipped.
The printed deck
23 cards: the 22 Major Arcana and a title card with your deck's name, 2.75 × 4.75 in on 12 pt matte card with rounded corners, in a tarot box. Printed by The Game Crafter in the United States. $29 with US shipping included; each extra deck to the same address $19. Arrives in about 3 to 5 weeks.
Shown: the emblem cards every deck starts with. Your pictures replace them card by card.
A card a day, from your own deck
Ask for today's card and it arrives face down. Turn it over to see which of your cards it is, with three keywords and one question to think about. Tarokin is for fun and reflection: it never predicts health, money, legal or other outcomes.
Questions
- Do I need to draw anything?
- No. ChatGPT makes each card's picture with its own image generation, from Tarokin's description of the 1909 card and the look you ask for. You can also hand it a picture you already have.
- Do I have to make all 22 cards?
- No. Every card starts as a gold emblem, so your deck is complete from the first minute. Replace as many cards as you like; the rest print as emblems.
- Is this the Rider–Waite deck?
- Tarokin restages the 1909 designs drawn by Pamela Colman Smith, which are in the public domain. Tarokin describes each composition in its own words, every figure is fully clothed, and no scans of any published deck are used.
- Can tarot tell me what will happen?
- Tarokin is for fun and reflection. Your daily card comes with a question to think about, never a prediction about health, money, the law or anything else.
- What does the printed deck look like?
- 23 cards (the 22 Major Arcana and a title card), 2.75 × 4.75 in on 12 pt matte card with rounded corners, in a tarot box. It costs $29 with US shipping included and arrives in about 3 to 5 weeks.
- Whose face can go on the cards?
- Yours, or anyone who has agreed to be on a card. Pictures are checked before they're framed: cards must be fully clothed, not suggestive and not graphic.
